Materials Not Suitable for Color Sorting

Ultra-fine powders and microscopic particles
Materials below the camera’s minimum resolution threshold cannot be accurately identified or may be dispersed by the pneumatic ejection airflow.
Near-identical color materials
When spectral absorption and environmental lighting variations make color differences indistinguishable, sorting accuracy decreases proportionally.
High-moisture or sticky materials
Wet grain, fresh produce with surface moisture, or viscous substances tend to clump, adhere to the chute, and disrupt uniform material flow.
Metal fragments and shavings
Extremely fine metal debris is not reliably detectable by optical color sorting alone — dedicated metal detection equipment is recommended.
Transparent or highly reflective materials
Clear glass, polished metals, or mirror-finish surfaces prevent accurate color capture by the optical sensors.
Extremely irregular shapes
Materials with severe shape distortions may tumble unpredictably within the camera’s focal zone, reducing classification consistency.
